Jeffrey “Jeff” J. Kaminski died on June 10, 2021 at Hartford Hospital. He was the father of Mason Kaminski and Ellie Kaminski; the brother of Sarah Kaminski; the uncle of David Green, the son of Betsy (Jansson) and Joseph Kaminski; and he leaves the mother of his children, Megan Keough. He also leaves several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jeff had lived and grew up in Meriden where he attended local schools and played youth sports. He also resided in Moodus and Hartford. He enjoyed hunting, the Washington Football Team, and the Red Sox.
Jeff led a difficult life and loved all the members of his family immensely. Addiction is a heinous disease that affects the world and there is not an abundance of help. The police, courts and politicians are about punishment not treatment.
The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to the entire team at Hartford Hospital’s Neuro/Trauma Intensive Care Unit. One and all, they are special people.
Donations of any kind can be given to the next person you see standing by the side of a road holding a homeless or hungry sign.
Any services will be private; however, family and friends may offer their condolences at the home of Joseph and Betsy Kaminski, 82 Stockburger Rd. Moodus CT. 06469 on Saturday June 19, 2021, from 2 – 6pm.
Rest in peace Jeff, I've only known you a few years in Hartford but you were always a lovable, caring and stand up person. Even in your battle with the disease of addiction, you never let it turn you into a bad person, he would have given you the shirt off his back. If you have never experienced true addiction you will never understand how today's treatment of punishment or their poorly run profit on addicts programs will never work. Addiction is a lifelong disease and must be treated with delicate love and care. Please do not look down on people holding signs for help, they are just trying to live another day in their battle. Kindness and support goes…
Chip, and Mrs. Kaminski, and Family, I am sad to think of the loss of your Jeffrey. I hope your good memories of him and the memories of others will help you now and ahead. I wish you all the best. Dale Reynolds
Jeffrey will always have a "special" place in my heart. He was my little side kick when he was young, and I'll always remember those days. Love you Jeff! Your Aunt Marie, even though you never called me Aunt! Love you Bunches!!!
I had the privilege of knowing Jeff the three years I attended St. Laurent with him. I remember him as always the high-energy outgoing guy. I also have memories of Sister Lorraine smacking him with the yard stick in class lol. To his family and friends, my sincere condolences. May he rest in peace.
I have some really great memories of Jeff and will always remember his great smile. My deepest condolences to The Kaminski Family and his friends.
Fondly,
Keri Mullany Curcio
