It is with a heavy heart we share the unexpected passing of Jeffrey T. Clark, of Marietta, on February 27, 2023, in Enfield, Connecticut, where he was managing the care of his quadriplegic friend.
Jeff attended Due West Elementary School in West Cobb, graduated from Harrison High School, Kennesaw, GA, studied at Truett McConnell University (Cleveland, GA), Georgia Southern University Armstrong Campus (Savannah, GA), and Kennesaw State University, (Kennesaw, GA). As he grew up in Cobb County, GA, he loved his church, participating in choir and reaching out in mission trips including Nicaragua and with the World Changers organization. His primary interest in landscaping started even as he worked to earn money while in school and then followed with him opening his own landscaping company. He was also vice president of Elegant Ideas, jewelry and gift company.
Jeff will always be remembered for having a “heart of gold” and always going the “extra mile” for everyone he met. His desire was to serve the Lord by serving others for the rest of his life. His activities in these last few years centered around his training and caring for his friend, Josh, and Josh’s son Austin, 7 and daughter Hailie, 8. He loved his family and friends deeply. Other themes of his life included nature. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing at Bent Tree, hiking, camping, taking photos of and just enjoying sunrises and sunsets, waterfalls, beautiful landscapes and animals, especially pets. He was a major fan of the Atlanta Braves, the University of Georgia and Georgia Tech (when the University of Georgia was not playing them).
Jeff will be deeply missed by those he is survived by: his mother Barbara Worley Clark of Marietta, GA, and brother Jason F. Clark of Ventura, CA, (Janice). His closest family, include: his aunt Sarah Worley Barnes Loechler (Mark), his uncle David Worley (Starr), his aunt Debbie Clark Mullally Waldrep (Pete), his aunt Margaret Clark Watt (Bob), his uncle Mike Clark plus many other family members of the Clark, Worley, and Hadaway families. He was preceded in death by his father Thomas M. Clark, his uncle David Clark and his grandparents Leon Clark, Evelyn Turner Clark Sisk, Tom Sisk, Thurston Worley, Emma Lee Hadaway Worley Cook, and Fred Cook.
We take comfort in knowing he is now home in Heaven with His Lord and Savior, and those who preceded him.
