Jeremy L. Castonguay 2021

JEREMY L. CASTONGUAY, 41 of Bristol died tragically on Friday, August 13, 2021, following a motorcycle crash in Torrington. Jeremy was a Bristol resident all of his life, and a dual citizen of both the United States and Canada. He attended schools in Bristol, graduating from Bristol Eastern High School, class of 1998. Besides his mother, Rollande, of Bristol, he is survived by his twin brother, Jason and life companion, Ron, of Manchester, and his older brother, Thomas and sister-in-law, Sharon of Southbury. He is also survived by a niece, Caroline. He is predeceased by his father, Camille Castonguay. He also leaves a large loving extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins both in the US and Canada. Jeremy was a loyal son, brother, and friend who prioritized the needs of others. Always just a text message away, people knew that Jeremy’s help was guaranteed. His hearty, infectious laugh will long persist in our memories. Not one to just sit around, Jeremy was dedicated to creating as many special moments with friends and family as possible. Whether he was spending time with loved ones at Lake George, NY, enjoying long rides with his motorcycle buddies, or just having a baseball catch with his brother, Jeremy strove to make every minute count. Jeremy’s interests in life are too numerous to mention, but among them, Jeremy was an avid fan of music, performing in and leading numerous bands on bass and guitar. Jeremy loved to bring people together to enjoy live music. He especially enjoyed opportunities to perform with his musical brothers, one an accomplished concert musician. On August 1st, he was delighted to join with his brothers in performing at a gathering of family and friends in Bristol. The great times had during the many “Man Cave” nights he hosted will long be remembered. Jeremy, a consummate automotive mechanic for many years, was currently employed at Mott Corporation in Farmington where he was a Maintenance Mechanic admired greatly by his co-workers. Jeremy had a magnetic personality that delighted family, friends, and co-workers alike. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A celebration of Jeremy’s life is being organized for a time to be determined.
