Joan Chesanek-Millard

Joan (Andrews) Chesanek-Millard, 60, of Thomaston, passed away on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2025, surrounded by loved ones at Hartford Hospital. 

Joan was born November 1st, 1965, in Danbury Connecticut, daughter of the late Thomas and Joan Lea Andrews. Raised in Bethel, she attended local schools and was a graduate of Henry Abbott Technical High School. Throughout her career, she held numerous retail and hospitality positions. She was the CEO of Andrews Consulting and former bar manager of the American Legion Post 22.

She had a lifelong love of food, criminal justice and her country. She spent many summers on Lake Champlain in New York and loved having a glass of Pinot grigio surrounded by family and friends. 

She is survived by her daughter Noralea Chesanek of Thomaston, CT and her son Patrick Chesanek of Lewisburg, PA. Other survivors include her brother, Billy Andrews and his wife, Melina, of Southbury, CT as well as several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.

In addition Joan was predeceased by two loving husbands; Dennis Chesanek (2007), Edwin Millard III (2018). 

Funeral services will be private.
