John A. Spigno

John A. Spigno passed away at Village Crest on August 7, 2025 after battling an ongoing illness. 

John was born on January 5, 1959, in the Bronx, New York, to Anna Francescucci Spigno and Basil Spigno. After graduating from New Britain High School, he served in the United States Navy. John was primarily Anna’s caregiver in his adult life, while working part-time at Target and Car Quest. His hobbies included cheering on the Giants and Yankees, watching old films, and creating ancestry timelines. 

John is predeceased by both his parents, his brother Louis J. Spigno, and most recently his sister Loretta M. Spigno. John leaves behind his loved ones and his dear friend from the Navy, Jeff, aka “Smitty.” 

There will be a Catholic Mass at Saint Francis of Assisi in New Britain, Connecticut on Monday, September 22, at 10:15am. A burial will follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery.
