May 4, 1946 – February 15, 2026
Joseph Booth passed away on February 15, 2026. A hardworking man of steady character, Joseph dedicated 42 years to Electric Boat as an Outside Electrician before his well-earned retirement.
He was a man of simple tastes who found his greatest peace at the Marina or Mohegan Park. Most days, you could find him right there at the water's edge, settled into his favorite folding chair. He didn't need much to be happy—just a view of the river and the ducks swimming by. He was a master of the quiet moment, reminding us all to slow down and appreciate the world exactly as it is.
Joseph is survived by his children and their families:
Cheryl Belle-Lash and her children, Ty Salters, Eryca McGirt, and Brennan Champagne.
Laura Donovan and husband Peter, and their children, Mackenzie and Allie Donovan.
Dawn Touhey and her children, Tina Marie Francis (and partner Justin Gould) and Mercedes Ann Dos Santos (and husband Pedro).
Raymond Booth and wife Stephanie, and their children, Harmony-Marie, Raymond Joseph, Miracle Haven, and Raymond Anthony Joseph.
He was the proud grandfather of 13 great-grandchildren and is also survived by his siblings, Sandy Pescatello and Jeffery Booth.
Joseph was preceded in death by his daughter, Desiree Ann Booth-Terry, and his granddaughter, Bella-Marie.
In lieu of traditional gestures, the family suggests taking a moment this week to sit outside, preferably near the water, and simply watch the world go by for a while. He would have liked that.
