Joshua Ryan Goss, 39, of Deep River, passed away unexpectedly on February 9th. Josh was the son of the late Mark and Wendy (Howell) Goss of Ivoryton. He is survived by his wife Tiffany and his sons Ethan and Ryder of Old Lyme, as well as his nephews, in-laws, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is predeceased by his Grandmother Dorothy Goss of Westbrook, and his Grandparents E. Lawrence and Genevieve Howell of Ivoryton.
Josh thoroughly enjoyed anything to do with cars and working on them. He could fix just about any vehicle. He loved being on the robotics team with his son Ethan, designing and building robots. When his son Ryder was younger, Josh was always out on the little league field coaching. Josh traveled for work, and loved his time spent in India and Vietnam.
A Celebration of Life will be held on March 5, 2022, 2pm, at the Deep River Congregational Church. In lieu of flowers, please send donations for his sons future to https://gofund.me/ecf8c6be
I had known Josh for a long time and I am so sorry for his families loss. I know how much he loved his sons and how proud he was of them. I will miss him immensely. Josh was the first person I asked for a car question and he fixed mine more then once. He was extremely gifted, smart, and compassionate and he was there for his friends and family.
Josh was a natural born machining engineering genius who had a knack for creating anything, no matter how complicated, out of the toughest aerospace materials on the planet.
One of the very best in the global aerospace market. That’s a fact. Will miss him.
