Joyce Satanski Jacques, age 62, loving mother and grandmother, passed away the morning of November 17, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Joyce was born at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital on August 7, 1960. She was the daughter of the late Francis and Ethel (Pastor) Satanski of Torrington CT.
Joyce dedicated her life to being the best mother and grandmother. She spent many years working various factory jobs and working late hours to provide for her two girls. In her later years, after her daughters had grown up, she spent lots of time being “Grammy.” She loved her grandson more than anything in the world. She spent every weekend with her youngest daughter soaking up every ounce of her grandson’s love and watching him grow.
She is survived by her two daughters: Sara Jacques and Olivia Mendoza, who adored her with all their hearts, as well as her son in law: Emilio Mendoza and her grandson: Gabriel Mendoza, who miss her deeply.
She is also survived by her sisters: Jeanette Dzurnak of Torrington, Helen Hubert of Harwinton, and Kathleen Delmonte of Torrington and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents and her sister: Nancy Hague.
There will be no services at this time but a celebration of life will take place in the new year.
