Karen Ann Bernstein, 80, of Rocky Hill, CT, passed suddenly on Monday, April 1, 2024 as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Karen was born on August 11, 1943 in North Platte, Nebraska to the late John “Jack” and Leona Reilly. A daughter of a naval officer, her childhood was spent growing up in Europe, Japan, San Francisco, CA and Norfolk, VA. She completed her degree at William & Mary and professionally held many management positions within luxury retail in Beverly Hills, CA and the New York City area. Her life’s passions involved traveling, dogs, tennis, cooking, and more than anything doing it alongside her beloved late husband Norman. She was an avid bridge and mahjong player which provided her a great community later in life in Palm City, FL and most recently Rocky Hill, CT. Karen was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of 40 years, Norman Bernstein. She is survived by her brother John Reilly (Michele Jordan), nieces, Caitlin Hughes (Michael Hughes) and Shauna Reilly (Isaiah Mendoza).
