It is with great sadness that the family of Karl John Berchtold announces his passing after a brave battle with prostate cancer. Karl was an exceptional son, brother, uncle, and friend to all that loved him. He will be greatly missed.
Karl worked at Zygo Corporation in Middlefield, CT where he had a “family” of co-workers who loved him dearly. He was an avid golfer, and enjoyed his annual golf trips with his friends. Karl also loved attending his nephews’ baseball games, being outdoors, and spending time with his family. He was always there for his family.
Karl was pre-deceased by his father, Karl G. Berchtold, and his mother, Carol (Warner) Berchtold. He leaves behind two sisters, Debbie Maggi (Stephen Maggi), Karen Lewis, niece Cherie Green (Russell Green), and three Great nephews, Russell, Timothy, and Sean Karl Green.
Karl also leaves behind nephews, Stephen Maggi, Christopher Lewis, and Nicholas Maggi.
Please join the family for a service to celebrate Karl’s life at St. Lawrence Church in Killingworth on Saturday, June 26th at 11am.
