Kathryn Ann Tyler, 67, beloved wife of Curtis E Tyler passed away on March 26th, 2022 at Bakus Hospital in Norwich Connecticut.
Kathryn was employed at Verizon Wireless and retired after 17yrs of service as a Customer Service Representative. She made many friends at Verizon especially a dear friend Diana Fiut (Lady Di).
She enjoyed gardening, cooking, and watching her favorite TV Shows. She especially loved spending time with her dearest friends Toni and Holly.
Most of all she loved being with her family. Besides her husband of 43yrs, she leaves sons Jason Williams and his wife Lisa, Matthew Williams, Curtis Tyler Jr, Michael Tyler and his wife Laura. Sisters Anette and Paula, Brothers Tom and Phil, several Nieces and Nephews, Sisters in Laws Caren and Judy and her loving Grandchildren Joey,Mia,Joel and Morgan. She also leaves behind her loving dogs Ben and Miranda.
Services will be private, a celebration of Kathy's life will be held at a later date.
I met Kat while working at Verizon Wireless. One of the first things I noticed about Kat was her smile. It was a smile full of warmth and genuine kindness. She was one of the most positive people I have ever met. My sister Diana and I had many conversations about Kat's positivity. My sister and I have been friends with Kat for many, many years and have truly treasured her friendship. I love crafting and would send my projects pictures to Kat and she would critique and praise them. Kat was a one of a kind, genuine person. She was so much fun to talk to and be around - I just remembered one of her signature phrases, "son of a sea biscuit." She was always saying or doing something cute; I will always remember her passion for knitting and crafting.
I worked with Kat at VZW. Like many, she took me under her wing and very quickly became someone I could always go to for any kind of advice, just to have her listen and the top thing that we used to love to do is share recipes with each other. Just recently we had texted and she shared with me that I was in all of her devices (Ipad, phone, tablets, etc) as "Maille my blessings buddy". She was such a very special person to me.
