September 14, 1939 – December 16, 2025

Kathy Collelo, born Kathryn Joan Devozza, passed away peacefully on December 16, 2025, in Plainfield, Connecticut, at the age of 86. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Jimmy Collelo, whom she loved deeply and missed greatly.

Kathy was born on September 14, 1939, in Putnam, Connecticut, to Angie Chotkowski and Roger Devozza. She spent much of her life in northeastern Connecticut, where she was known for her gentle nature, kind heart, and soft-spoken presence. She moved through life quietly, offering care and warmth to those around her.

Kathy worked for many years cleaning homes and handling cleaning and laundry duties, later working in a nursing facility where she took pride in caring for others.

She enjoyed singing, especially country western music, which brought her comfort and joy. In her quieter moments, Kathy found happiness in embroidery, a hobby she enjoyed and one that reflected her patience, creativity, and gentle spirit.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Collelo; her parents, Angie Chotkowski and Roger Devozza; and her siblings Tommy Devozza, Eddie Devozza, Alice Klemchuck, Carol Dugas, and Barbara Gerry.

Kathy is survived by her brother Roger Devozza and his wife Connie, and her sister Angie.

She was a devoted mother to Earl, Alan (Lisa), Tina (Carl), Kathy, and Heidi (Chris), and a proud grandmother to Jeremy, Rebecca, Yolanda, Paula, David, Justin, Troy, Carrie, Amanda, Nicholas, and Brandon, each of whom held a special place in her heart. She was also blessed with several great-grandchildren.

Kathy will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her quiet kindness, and the love she shared with her family throughout her life.

Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
