Kim Miner Scallion, 63, of Newington, passed away peacefully on July 31st, 2023 at her home. She is survived by her son Andrew Scallion of Newington, her sister Karyn Therrien of Newington, her nieces and nephews, Jared Therrien of Pennsylvania, Noah Therrien and Lara Therrien of Newington, Steven Miner, Jr. of Bristol and Doren-Lynn Miner of Somers, her Aunt Phyllis Meeker of Rocky Hill, her Uncle David Best and his wife Cindy of Massachusetts, cousins, and her two beloved cats, Lily and Oliver. Kim enjoyed the simple things in life; watching her favorite TV shows with her cats in her arms, doing her crossword puzzles, reading books and reveling in the news of the lives of our friends and family. She created strong bonds with those in her life, including the friends of her son, who will deeply miss the conversations held around the dining room table on a warm summer's night. She was a kind, caring, and loving person, mother, and friend, and we will all miss her dearly. A private ceremony will be held with friends and family.
