Kristopher M. Waananen born January 29, 1983 of New Hartford, CT passed away unexpectedly on January 29, 2023, his 40th birthday.
Kris always had a big heart and loved his children deeply. He loved his animals and animals loved him and he would never think twice about helping someone with a lost pet. Kris was a personable person that young and old related well with, and old soul. As a young boy Kris played traveling soccer and softball in Rocky Hill, CT & football in Plantation, FL. He loved the wilderness of Maine and its peacefulness and serenity. His love of sports was reflected by his knowledge and love of the Yankees and an avid fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He could recite the history of the game like the back of his hand. He always enjoyed a good game of poker and his love of fishing superseded it all!!
A multi-talented hard working individual, always giving a job his all. He had a contagious energy! Numerous trades included metal/shingle roofing, aluminum siding, construction, tree clearing, oil tank removal - oil furnace rebuild/removal & repair and his favorite, first mate on a charter in the Florida Keys. His eyes lit up when discussing his work and fishing trips.
