Laurence L. Henri (nee Thibault)

It is with heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Laurence "Laurie"  L. Henri, 88, on May 10, 2025 at  UCONN Health Center surrounded by her family.

Laurie was born in Quebec, Canada, and later lived in Vernon, CT, where she worked as a legal secretary for Travelers Insurance until retiring to Port St. Lucie, FL, with her late husband Joseph Henri. Laurie was predeceased by her first husband, Alderic Allard. She is survived by her daughter Sonia Allard, granddaughters Ashley and Hayley Allard-Raucci, her newly born great-granddaughter Aubrey, as well as her siblings Bethold Thibault, Laurian Thibault, Ariane Guay, Gille Thibault, Richard Thibault, and Danielle Thibault, all from Canada, along with many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

Laurie was energetic living life, not letting anything stand in her way.  She was crafty and an avid collector of things- Her own  handmade porcelain dolls & caning of antique chairs, brewery glassware and wooden ducks to name a few.  She loved her poodles (Josie, Keisha and Jazzy), Happy Hour with MaryAnn, Badson's IPA's, gardening, and her special circle of friends. Laurie touched the lives of many with her gregarious personality and endearing french accent. She will be remembered as the "quilting/embroidery enthusiast" and all her quilts of love will be held as cherished memories by many.

"It isn't what we leave behind, it's what we leave in people's hearts that counts."

Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be determined at a late date.
