Leon K. Harris

Leon K. Harris, age 61, passed away on November 20, 2025. He was born on December 21, 1963, in Waugh, Alabama, and was a lifelong resident of Middletown, Connecticut.

Leon was a man of simple joys. A devoted reader, he especially loved the works of Stephen King and could often be found immersed in one of his novels. He was a proud lifelong San Francisco 49ers fan. He enjoyed going to the movies, trying his luck with the lottery, and most of all, spending time with his children—moments that brought him his greatest happiness.

Leon worked in transportation services his whole life. He was employed at The Day Club and DATTCO, both in Middletown.  

Leon is predeceased by his beloved mother, Elsie M. Harris whom he missed every day that she had been gone and his brother, Derrick Harris.

He is survived by his treasured daughters, Kacie, Tonie, and Piper Harris; his grandson, Kameron Harris; his children’s mother, Brie Harris; his sisters, Sharon and Karen Harris; and his niece, Amber Turner, all of Middletown.

Leon was a stoic man. Those close to him will remember his sarcasm, humor, and solidarity. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Immediate family has chose to celebrate his life privately.
