Leonor T. Aloma (De Ocejo) of New Britain CT born 10/16/1928 in Cienfuegos, Cuba passed away peacefully on February 17, 2022 at Hospital of Central CT, New Britain, CT. Leonor was devoted to her husband of 67 years, Rodolfo N. Aloma whom she loved dearly. She loved family unity and was a very loving and caring woman. She has always been the soft place to fall for her children. She liked keeping Cuba and it’s traditions alive in her children by telling stories and passing down recipes to her daughter so she may continue the legacy. She was a lifelong supporter of St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. She attended school in Cuba and very much enjoyed being a seamstress and being the family tailor. She worked as a professional seamstress for several years but her true love was being a homemaker. She always enjoyed laughter, good conversation, music, dancing and social gatherings. She made us all aware that she lived a long beautiful life and did everything she ever wanted and raised a family with her husband by her side at every step which she found to be her purpose in this world.

She is predeceased by her twin brother, Jose Luis De Ocejo and his wife Blanca, four brother-in-laws and a niece. She was the devoted mother of her children Rodolfo E. Aloma, Alejandro R. Aloma and Helaine L. Fortes (Aloma). Aside from her husband and children she leaves behind Daughter-in-law Patricia Aloma, Grandchildren,Justin Aloma and wife, Angie, Matthew Aloma, Natalie Rodriguez (Aloma) and husband, Vladimir, Jonathan Aloma and wife, Andrea, Andres Aloma and wife, Ashley, Christopher Fortes and Anthony Fortes. In addition she is survived by a niece, nephew and other extended family in Florida and other areas of the U.S. She was fortunate enough to be blessed with many great grandchildren. She had very close relationships with her sister-in-laws, Violeta (Gilda) Oliver, Doris Suarez and Daisy Coletti and will be missed greatly by all.

A Catholic Mass will be held in memoriam at Our Lady of Sorrows Church, Hartford, CT on Friday, March 4, 2022 at 11am. In lieu of flowers donations can be sent to St Jude's Children's Hospital, CT Children's Medical Center or the American Heart Association.
