Lisa (Russell) Kennedy
Passed away peacefully on August 9th of 2024 surrounded by her loved ones.
Born and raised in Enfield Connecticut, Lisa went to Our Lady of the Angels Academy until her junior year. Then she attended Palmer High School where she graduated in 1984. Within the next 2 years Lisa went to St. John’s School of Business where she received her associates in business and administration.
Lisa worked at the University of Massachusetts as an office manager, as well as the administrative assistant to the Head Coach of Men’s Ice Hockey for 24 years. She also served as a specialist to the Registrar's Office at Umass for 2 years before retiring in 2022. She has received many awards and accolades for her dedicated work. After she retired, she was called back to receive the Chancellor's Citation of Excellence.
Lisa loved animals (especially horses and dogs), flowers, and working in the garden. She had a special love for muscle cars and enjoyed watching the drag races at Lebanon Valley race track. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. Especially her son Timothy. Their favorite thing to do together was going shopping. Like Lisa always said that she and her son are and always will be a package deal.
Lisa is predeceased by her father Frederick Russell, her mother Ethel (Ladue) Russell, and her brothers Eddie, Richie, Junior, Allen, and her sister Estelle. She is survived by her loving husband of 28 years Timothy Kennedy and her son Timothy Kennedy Jr. Her sisters Shirley, Sherry, Suzy, and Carol. Also by her step daughter Jocelin (Kennedy) Chichakly, her husband Kyle, and her grandkids Gabe, Gia, Rylan and Gracie. She will be dearly missed by us all.
