Lola Lillian Platt

Lola Lillian Platt, 84, of Plantsville, CT passed away peacefully at The Hospital of Central Connecticut Hospital, New Britain, CT on July 11, 2024. Born on August 3,1939, in Waterbury, CT, she was the daughter of the late William Kuhne and Lois B. Kuhne.  Lola is also predeceased by her half -brother, Elliott and half -sister, Stella. 

 

She is survived by her husband, Dale A. Platt, her children Dale W. Platt, Deborah Landry (Robert) and Joseph Platt, grandchildren Jennifer Brislin (James), Kyle Landry (Megan), 4great-grandchildren, cousin Gail Badyrka (John) and family. 


Lola graduated from New Milford High School in 1957 and went on to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. Lola worked as an LPN until her retirement. Lola loved animals and enjoyed gardening, especially flowers. Lola enjoyed square dancing, baking, canning tomatoes, pickles, relishes, peaches, pears, variety of jams and was proud of the various ribbons she received at the Durham Fair for her creative displays and canning goods. She looked forward to going out with her daughter whether it be for a cup of coffee, ice- cream cone at Les’s, playing "BINGO" at the local churches or attending annual Christmas Fairs. 


Lola will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery in Southington, CT
