Loretta M. Lewis, 85, passed away on March 22, 2022, at Douglas Manor Nursing Home with family by her side. Loretta was born on November 23, 1936, and was one of 18 children born to Arnold and Margaret (Ritchie) Denton of Burlington, VT.
Loretta was predeceased by her husband Gordon Lewis, Sr. Together they raised three children. She is survived by her daughter Margaret Strickland of East Hartford, CT and her husband Steve and her son Gordon Lewis Jr and his wife Janet of Lebanon CT. She was predeceased by her daughter Debra Lewis of Colchester, CT. Loretta also leaves two sisters, Nancy Pearl of VT and Rachel Shackett of FL along with 10 grandchildren,15 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Loretta's strong faith in God guided her through life and her battle with cancer. She was a dedicated member of the Full Gospel Interdenominational Church in Manchester, CT and enjoyed helping to pack shipping containers to be sent to the less fortunate. She loved her family and she will be missed dearly.
Services will be held on April 5, 2022 at the Jubilee Tabernacle, 16 Brainard Place, Manchester CT. The family will receive guests at 10:30 a.m followed by a church service at 11:00
