Louise Ann Brostek

Louise Ann Brostek, 68, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on November 23, 2025.

She is survived by her loving husband, Kevin Brostek of 25 years, daughter Jennifer Snowman (Jonathan), son Joseph Dionne III (Dawn), daughter Melissa Clarke (Rob), son Adam Brostek and sister Lucy Harrington (Kevin), her greatest pride and joy, her grandchildren, Maxwell, Zackery, Kyra, Alexis, Neveah, Alyssa, Jayden, Anthony and Cole, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Louise was known for her adventurous spirit, generous heart, and her good-natured pranks. She often enjoyed hiking, kayaking, and biking, but most importantly supporting her grandchildren in everything they did.

Above all, she lived by a simple but powerful principle: do the next right thing. She consistently put others before herself, offering help, comfort, and encouragement without hesitation.

Louise will be deeply missed by all who was fortunate enough to know her.  May her legacy continue to inspire her acts of kindness, compassion and love that was felt by anyone who met her.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be a private gathering.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Louise’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Dear Kevin, Jennifer and family,

I’m so sorry for your loss. My heart is with you, and I’m truly saddened to learn of Louise’s passing.

I will miss seeing you both and sharing stories about our favorite vacation spots, talking about our grandchildren (I was always touched that she asked about mine), and of course our conversations about the Plainfield restaurant. Louise was such a lovely lady, and the love you showed her was evident in every moment. You were a wonderful husband to her.

I hope that, in time, the memories you shared bring you comfort and a sense of peace.

With caring thoughts,

Kim Rauch (RN Blue Back Square office)

Dear Kevin, Lucy and all Louise's family and friends,

We are so sorry to learn of Louise's passing. Louise fought a good fight but God needed her back home - she had accomplished her tasks here on earth. May all the wonderful memories of times shared together help you through the toughest times without her presence here. She will be watching over you all and smiling down.

Arvid and I both have great memories of times spent in Louise's presence. Not long ago, Arvid shared one of his "school bus memories" with Louise - "one of her good-natured pranks" and they had a great laugh reminiscing... She was so fun to be with... Till we meet again, Louise....xoxoxo

Hugs to…

To my dear Louise,

I write this with tears in my eyes and a heart that hurts. You were a true blessing in my life; my best friend, my partner in crime and my sister by heart. Thank you for your friendship of 37 years as not many people in their lifetime will experience such a beautiful friendship. I hold our extremely long talks close to my heart and our many adventures, our wondeful visits, the neighborhood walks, in which I hold the record for the only one to keep up with you. (your words, not mine). I cherish the endless memories, the pictures, the thoughtful gifts and cards, but most of all your huge loving, thoughtful and caring hear…
