Luis Apollo Velez passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 14, 2024 at the age of 54. He was born on Sunday, July 20, 1969 in Brooklyn, NY. thus his middle name of Apollo, like the space shuttle. He is survived by his beloved wife Diana Velez, his mother Maria Benitez. his sister Waleska Velez, 3 brothers David Velez, Ferdinand Velez Jr, John Velez and several sister-in-laws. Also by his daughter Jessica, two sons Luis and Johnathan, several grandchildren, as well as, several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. He is now reunited with his father Teddy Velez. He was always the center of attention and was willing to help anyone. Luis was known as the neighborhood handyman and mechanic and by his closest friends as “Snake” or “Culebra”. He was an avid wrestling fan. He will surely be missed. R.I.P.
