Lynne Susan (Dame) Chagnot

May 5, 1950 – June 28, 2025

Lynne Susan (Dame) Chagnot, 75, of South Windsor, passed away peacefully on June 28, 2025. Born on May 5, 1950, in Hartford, Connecticut, she was the beloved daughter of Robert and Helen Dame who predeceased her.

Lynne was a loving mother to five children: Lisa Wodal of Manchester, Gary Wichroski of South Windsor, Sarah Chagnot-Goldstein and her husband Adam of South Windsor, Kevin Chagnot of Brownsville, PA, and Brian Chagnot and his partner Cate of Vernon. She also cherished her four grandchildren, Jaret, Austin, Daytona, and Savannah, and her great-grandson, Tobi.

Lynne is also survived by her sister Sandra Goller of West Springfield, and her nieces and nephew, Beth, Kayla, and Jimmy, all of whom held a special place in her heart.

A nurse for over 30 years, Lynne dedicated her career to caring for others with compassion and expertise. Her patients always knew her as a gentle and skilled healthcare provider, and her work touched many lives.

Outside of her professional life, Lynne was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox and UConn Women’s Basketball. She never missed a game and loved sharing her excitement with family and friends. Each spring and summer, she looked forward to planting flowers in her garden.

Lynne was known for her kindness, her love for her family, and her unwavering dedication to making the world a better place. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, but her legacy will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

A memorial service will be held in Lynne's honor at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
