Margaret “Peggy” Ann Fountain, 82, of Meriden, CT, passed away on September 8, 2026, peacefully in her home surrounded by her family.  Born on April 5, 1944, in Bronx, NY and later moved to Yardville, NJ with her parents, Louis and Margaret Salamon, brother Louis (Bonny), and sister Patricia (Burt).

She was blessed when she married Curt Fountain on June 19, 1982, and became a mother to David (Wendy), Matthew (Trish), and Sheryl. Her blessing continued with 11 grandchildren: Christopher, Bryce (Jenn), Spencer (Katie), Lane, Danielle, Michael, Evie, Joel, Samantha (Dillon), and Ryan. She was pre-deceased by her eldest grandson, Nathanael, and remained close with his wife, Kim.  Peggy also leaves her 7 cherished great-grandchildren; Ethan, Luke, JD, Henry, Elle, Lucas, and Miley, as well as her fur baby Maya. She also leaves behind her beloved nieces, Tracey and Suzanne.

Peggy’s extended family consisted of numerous cousins, her church family, neighbors, and friends. She was a pillar in the community and always there to help and support others.

Peggy attended Princeton Medical Center in NJ and became an LPN. She spent time working at the 1st Hospice in New Haven.

She believed in celebrating all of God’s miracles every day and sharing his message as a Child of God. She was a staple volunteer at the Hope Pregnancy Center, led numerous bible studies helping women in their journey and was instrumental in various prayer groups as a prayer warrior. She loved to travel, attend shows, listen to music, and dance. She had a green thumb and loved spending time with her family and playing games.

She's flying home on the butterfly wings of angels to be with the family gone before her, to meet her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and the Almighty God.

Services will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at Oasis Church at 176 Sandbank Road, Suite 1, Cheshire, CT 06410. Doors will open at 10:00am to greet family and the service will begin at 11:00am with refreshments to follow directly after.
