Marilou S. Zimbouski

Marilou S. Zimbouski, 87, of Bristol, CT, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on August 23, 1938, in Bristol, CT, Marilou carried with her the traditions of her Irish heritage and the strength of her 67-year marriage to her husband, Charles Zimbouski. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

Marilou was a hard-working and dedicated employee for many years at Lord & Taylor, Waldbaum's Food Mart, and lastly for numerous years as an administrator at Fitchville Home in Bozrah, CT. Marilou was a lifelong resident of Bristol, CT, where she was born, raised, and had a life with lots of family and friends. She loved reading, planting flowers, antiques, shopping, her family, and anything Irish. She enjoyed spending weekends with her husband at their second home in Otis, MA. 

Marilou is survived by her loving husband, Charles Zimbouski, and their four children: daughter Sharla Martin and her husband, Ron Martin; sons Todd Zimbouski and Michael Zimbouski; daughter Susannah Mariah Trelli. She was a proud grandmother to Joshua Cote and Jordan Martin, Mikey Zimbouski and Hannah Zimbouski, Jase Trelli and Trinity Trelli. Her legacy continues through her great-granddaughter Everlee Martin. She is also survived by her sister Suzanne Acampora of Massachusetts and adored by many nephews and nieces.

Marilou will continue to live on in our hearts and not be forgotten.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 24th, 2025, at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 33 Queen St., Bristol, CT. Reception to follow downstairs in Guild Hall.

Burial will be at a later date at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Church, 149 Goodwin St., Bristol, CT.
