Mark Allen Belanger, age 54, had lived in Oceanside, California. However, due to severe health issues, was unable to travel back home before he went to be in the arms of Jesus. Mark was in Hospice at a Rehabilitation Center in Glastonbury, CT where he passed away on February 25, 2025.
Mark leaves behind his beloved wife Alanna Belanger, his son Barrett Belanger, and his two step children, Maverick and Brooke Farr, that he loved as his very own.
Mark was born in Portland, Maine on June 29, 1970. He was part of the class of Cheverus High School where he played football. He went on to attend Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, MA. This is where he first met his wife Alanna, only to find her again years later and marry his forever love.
For thirty years Mark was a successful Executive and Businessman.
It was when Mark was diagnosed with Miocarditis and Congestive Heart Failure, that all of his business and financial success of this world suddenly became insignificant in light of his health crisis. It was his renewed faith in Jesus and the love and support of his wife, that sustained him and carried him through three years of unrelenting health challenges.
Mark was a man of many talents, gifts, and passions. He would make it his mission to excel at whatever interested him. This beautiful passion and drive led him to become; an accomplished fisherman, skilled sailor, an avid skier, an incredible prayer partner, gifted photographer, professional barbecuer, race car driver, and a wonderful sous chef to his wife. His favorite places to be was to be on the beach to watch the sunset, anywhere praying with his wife Alanna, particularly for their kids that he loved so much, or taking his wife on a road trip, listening to a playlist that he created. He also thoroughly loved taking adventurous trips with his wife and children. Creating lasting memories and cherished moments with his family, was so valuable and precious to him.
Mark’s big and compassionate heart led him to privately help so many people in need through out his life. His wife, children, friends, and so many others will greatly miss his smiling face, his powerful prayers, his love for Jesus, his amazing laughter, his contagious passion for life, and his love!
To honor Mark’s departing wishes, his wife Alanna will be having a private Celebration of Life Ceremony on the beach where they got married in Carlsbad, California.
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will uphold you with my righteousness hand.
- Isaiah 41:10
