Martha McRae Kreinsen, 90, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2021. Martha lived a long life, but was burdened with Diabetes for most of her adulthood, and when she contracted Covid this past August, it took a toll on her health. Martha was born on July 20, 1931 in the town of Stoneham, MA. She lived the majority of her life in Holliston, MA with her Husband William (Bill) Kreinsen. She moved to the Mystic, CT area in 2006 with Bill, to be closer to their daughter Maggie and her family.
Despite being a lifelong Methodist, Martha was a cherished employee of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Holliston, MA, where her husband Bill, was also a parishioner and lector at the congregation. Even though she was surrounded by Catholics, she could not be convinced to convert. She was loved for her strong beliefs and spirited disposition. Martha enjoyed sewing, knitting, gardening, worrying and was an accomplished typist. She was an avid reader and enjoyed classical music.
She was predeceased by her husband William, her brother Donald McRae of PA, and sister Emily Boley of MI. Martha is survived by her son Gregory Kreinsen of Round Pond, ME and daughter Margaret (Maggie) Henderson of Mystic, CT and son-in-law Robert (Bob) Henderson and her two beloved grandchildren Owen and Elizabeth. She leaves many dear friends and family behind from the Holliston and Mystic areas.
Memorial is tentatively planned for April 30, 2022.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Diabetes Association or the American Macular Degeneration Foundation in Martha's name are appreciated.
