1920 to 2023
Our beloved mother, Mary Frascarelli passed away peacefully at the age of 102 on the evening of Friday April 28, 2023 at her home in Glastonbury after a long and blessed life.
Born in Hartford Connecticut, Mary was the daughter of the Vito and Concetta (Amenta) Cantarella from Floridia, Province of Siracusa, Italy.
Mary was the last of the wonderful and fun loving Cantarella family of eight (two brothers and six sisters) including: Angela Campo, Sara DeLisa Zivich, Rosina Guardo, Concetta Bordanaro, Sam (Gaetano) and Alexander Cantarella and Aurora Capano.
She is survived by her three children: Carol Ann Frascarelli LaBreck (Husband Ronnie LaBreck), James Frascarelli (Wife Doreen Martino) and Robert Frascarelli (Wife Solange Cavalcante), five grandchildren: Christopher LaBreck (Wife Marissa Viola), Christine Frascarelli (Husband Tom Cucinella) and Daryl, Kimberly and Kyle Frascarelli (Wife Tammy Bane) and two great grandchildren: Vienna and Nella Frascarelli along with many loved and loving nieces and nephews.
A very special lively lady, Mary was fiercely independent with unique sense of humor.
Can you imagine being born before television and living to see a man walk on the moon?
Mary worked at Travelers Insurance Company for more than 25 years.
She enjoyed cooking, traveling and the beach. Her secret for longevity was living her life to the fullest especially with her family.
Her Hartford High school year book description was prophetic stating “A light heart lives long”
Mary will truly be missed by all the lives she touched. She was the light of all that passed near her.
There is now one more star in the sky.

A Memorial Mass will be held at Saint Paul’s Church at 2577 Main Street, Glastonbury on Tuesday, May 23 at 10:00 AM.
