Mary was born in 1934 in South Carolina. As a teenager Mary travelled to CT in search of employment. Mary was an animated storyteller and one of her all-time favorites was how she made Senator Joe Liberman his sandwiches afterschool at his family home in Stamford. Later Mary retired from Pitney Bowes in Stamford CT having worked there for more than 20 years. Mary then returned to South Carolina in the early 1980s where she enjoyed a simple life for many years attending church and enjoying time with friends and Family until the move to the Masonicare Health Center in Wallingford Connecticut in early 2019.

She will be remembered by all who knew or met her as a straight talking, gregarious, hard-working person who loved gospel music and took great pride in her Family. A celebration of Mary’s life is being planned for the Summer of 2022. Mary’s family would like to thank Masonicare Health Center with overwhelming gratitude towards the dedicated Staff of Ramage 3 before and throughout the pandemic. As an expression of sympathy in lieu of flowers the family welcomes donations to The Masonic Charity Foundation of Connecticut.
