Maureen (Tackling) Scott, 56, passed away at Hartford Hospital on August 16, 2022 after long battle with an illness.
Maureen was born in New London, CT on February 13, 1966 to Amede and Mary (McMahon) Tackling. She attended both New London and East Lyme High Schools.
Maureen was an avid and talented cook, something she inherited from her father. She was known to drive her children, friends and siblings crazy with her non-recipe instructions on how to prepare any dish we may have asked how to make. Needless to say, we were never able to replicate her amazing food. While cooking was one of her favorite hobbies, Maureen loved nothing more than spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Maureen was predeceased by her parents, sister Ellen Ferguson and brother Brian Tackling.
Maureen is survived by her daughters, Stephanie Tackling and wife Natacha Rogers, Sarah Scott, sons Logan Tackling, and Gage Tackling, and beloved grandchildren Amaris and Mason. Maureen also leaves behind stepmother, Jody Lee Brown, and siblings, Martin Tackling, Shannon Milair, Tracy Tackling and Melanie Sanchez, as well as many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will take place in the near future. Details will be given once a date has been decided.
