Michelene Ladd, 65, of Waterbury passed away at home on Saturday, August 15th surrounded by her loved ones after a hard battle with ALS. Born June 21, 1955 in Watertown to Patricia (Ladd) Johnson and the late Fredrick Ladd.
Michelene is survived by her two sons she had with Billy Arline: Dwayne Ladd and his wife Lisa Ladd, Desmond Ladd and his wife Michele Ladd and her 4 grandchildren Skylar Ladd, DJ Ladd, Jarrett Ladd and Payton Ladd.
Michelene also leaves her siblings Jackie Chasse and Alan Ladd; nieces and nephews Jennifer Jude, Richard Riedl, AJ Ladd and Tyler Ladd.
“Mickey”, as friends and family called her, also leaves behind many lifelong friends and long time partner William Newell, his daughter Jesse Newell and and grandchildren Gianna Newell and Jeremiah Rogers.
The family would like to thank all of the friends, loved ones, neighbors and personal care assistants who helped care for Mickey. You are appreciated and she was blessed to have you in her life.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a contribution made in Michelene’s memory to the ALS Association Connecticut Chapter. A private memorial celebration will be held at a later date.
