Nan Stockmal Peschel

Nan Stockmal Peschel, beloved wife of the late Charles J. Peschel passed away on January 23, 2025 at the age of 71 in Hospice care at Middlesex Hospital.

Born on September 16,1953 to the late Marcella Vernik Stockmal and the late Robert Peter Stockmal of Shelton, Nan graduated from Shelton High School and continued her education earning Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Massachusetts.  Nan was employed by the city of Norwalk in the city planning department for 11 years. After she and her husband moved to Cheshire Nan started a daycare serving local families. She was well known by her neighbors and enjoyed keeping in touch with friends and family. In retirement Nan participated social activities at the senior centers in Cheshire and also in Rocky Hill when she later moved there. Nan is survived by her sister Jill Stockmal Bennett and Dale Richard Bennett, her niece Lindsey Faye Bennett Centeno and Julio Centeno, a great nephew Julio Lucas Centeno and a great niece Gabriella Lyn Centeno.

A memorial service will be held in celebration of Nan's life at a later date.
