Nancy Woodmancy

January 10, 1939 - October 21, 2026

Nancy (Parent) Woodmancy, 87, of South Windsor, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2026, following a brief illness.

Born in New Hampshire on January 10, 1939, to the late Albert and Simone Parent, Nancy spent many years in East Hartford, Connecticut, raising her family. She later retired and moved to Abbott, Maine, with her beloved husband, Charles L. "Woody" Woodmancy.

Following Chuck's passing in November 2017, Nancy moved to South Windsor in 2018.

Nancy worked for the State of Connecticut for many years before retiring to Maine with her husband.

Nancy was predeceased by her beloved husband, Chuck; her sons, Charles and Darrin; her daughter-in-law, Joan; and her brother, Norman Parent.

She is survived by her sons, Keith Woodmancy and Christopher Woodmancy and his wife, Erin; her daughter-in-law, Judy Woodmancy, and her daughters, Anna and Rachel; her granddaughter, Amanda Cislak, and her husband, Jeremy, and their children, Abel and Levi; her grandchild, Sora Woodmancy; and her brother, Roland Parent, and his wife, Anne Marie, of The Villages, Florida.

Nancy was a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother who cherished her family above all else. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she treasured the time she spent with them. She also enjoyed watching UConn basketball and cheering on the Boston Red Sox-much to Chris and Abel's chagrin.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Alto Memory Care and

VITAS Hospice for the compassionate care, kindness, and time they gave Nancy. Their support and dedication brought comfort to Nancy and her family, and they are deeply grateful for all they did.

Services and burial will take place in Maine at the convenience of the family.
