Nicholas “Nicky” Alaimo, age 72, went peacefully into the arms of his Our Lord on August 18, 2023. He was known and loved for his charismatic personality, his great sense of humor, quick wit, and his love of family. Nicky spent the last couple of years of his life in the loving care of the staff at Silver Springs Nursing Home in Meriden, CT.
Other than family, music was Nicky’s biggest joy in life, playing his drums in several bands through the years. Until his death, his drumsticks were an extension of his talented hands.
Nicky leaves behind three sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary (Tony) DeLuca of Canton, GA; Marcy (Rick) Spitznagel of Valparaiso, FL; and Gaby (Scott) Robson of Destin, FL. as well as several nieces and nephews. He will be welcomed into heaven by his parents, Michael and Angelina Alaimo, brother Thomas Alaimo and a large, loving family.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
