Nicholas “Nick the Nose” Penzerro, 76, of Bridgeport, CT, born in Brooklyn, NY, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2025—just six weeks after receiving a devastating cancer diagnosis.
Born on January 1, 1949, in New York, Nick was known for his larger-than-life personality, quick wit, and unforgettable presence. To many, he was “Nick the Nose”—a man whose stories, laughter, and street-smart wisdom left a lasting impact wherever he went.
Nick is survived by his three children: Theresa, Nicholas Jr., and Thomas; his beloved grandchildren: Austin, Olivia, and Carol Anne; and two great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his loving siblings: Rosemarie, Carmine Jr., Patsy, and Robert. He is preceded in death by his brother, Joseph, and sister, Kathy. Nick also leaves behind several nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly.
Although life led him down many difficult roads, Nick remained true to himself through it all—resilient, bold, and unforgettable. In his final weeks, he faced his diagnosis with strength and dignity, surrounded by those who cared deeply for him.
Nick will be remembered for his spirit, laughter, and imprint on the hearts of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.
