Patricia Anne Broom
January 4, 1953 – October 6, 2026
Patricia Anne Broom, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2026, at UConn John Dempsey Hospital. She was born on January 4, 1953, to the late Robert James Broom and Ida Mae Broom (Bell). Patricia was preceded in death by her brothers Samuel, James , Dwight and Kenny, and her sisters, Juanita, Mary, and Rosalind.
Patricia will always be remembered for her strength, love, and the special place she held in the hearts of those who knew her. Her greatest joy was her family, and her love and memories will live on through the lives she touched. She leaves to cherish her memory her three children, Samuel Broom (April Broom), Audrey Walker, and Raheem Broom; six grandchildren, Shameka, Canei, Melik, Cane, Milan, and Rahkeya; her beloved great-grandchildren; her favorite sister, Becky Willson; five brothers, Ralph, Claude, Cedric, Barron, and Curtis; her best friend, Patricia Fruster; and extended family and dear friends.
Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort in knowing that her suffering is over and that she is now at peace. Her love, strength, and beautiful memories will remain with us forever.
Rest peacefully, Mom. You will forever be loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.

My dearest sister, you were my ACE in the whole deck, each and every day. You were someone I could always depend on, count on, and turn to, no matter what. I will forever cherish our conversations, our disagreements, and, most of all, the laughter we shared.
I am so grateful that I was able to tell you “I LOVE YOU” before you took your final breath. Those words will forever live in my heart, along with the countless memories we created together.
You may no longer be here beside me, but you will forever live within me. Our bond can never be broken, and my love for you will never fade.
