Patricia Claire Gagnon, age 85, of Enfield, Connecticut, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 15, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones.
Patricia, lovingly known as “Pat,” was born on November 1, 1940, in South Windsor, CT, to John and Stella (Slota) Stelmat. She grew up in South Windsor, where she built the foundation of a life centered on family, resilience, and love. Pat later moved to Florida, where she spent 30 years, before returning to Connecticut to spend her final year in Enfield with her daughter, Barbara.
Pat was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and her family was the heart of her life. She is survived by her brother, Richard Stelmat of South Carolina; daughters, Barbara Gagnon of Enfield, CT and Laura Davis and her husband Rick Bush of Largo, FL; stepdaughters, Jandi Procko and Cassandra Anderson of Myrtle Beach, SC. She leaves behind seven beloved grandchildren: Jordan Giard, Carly Giard, Amanda Davis, Richard Bush, Ashlee Easter, Rhea Procko, and Gianna Procko, as well as four treasured great-grandchildren: Lexis Brown, Jennavieve Bush, Brody Wiles, and Jackson Giard.
Pat is also fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, and friends, all of whom will forever cherish the memories, laughter, and love they shared with her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Stella Stelmat, and brothers, John Stelmat and Benjamin Stelmat.
Pat will be remembered for her strength, warmth, independence, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her legacy of love will continue to live on through the generations she nurtured and the lives she touched. She will be missed dearly.
A service for family and friends will be held at a later date.
