Patricia Marie Hughes

Patricia Marie Hughes, 79, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2026, in Newington, Connecticut. Born on November 8, 1946, in Bristol, Connecticut, Patricia was the beloved daughter of the late Robert Sylvester Sr. and Jerris Carr.

Patricia dedicated over four decades of her life in a fulfilling career in warehouse work, before retiring with Johnson & Johnson. Her commitment and work ethic left a lasting impression on those she worked with during her tenure.

She is survived by her children: Cynthia Labbe, James Gallagher, and Samantha Hansen (John). She was a grandmother to Adam, Cory, Jordan, Stephanie, and Zachary and great-grandmother to Charlotte, Nicolas, Logan, Norah, Ella, Landon, and Aurora. Patricia also leaves behind her siblings: Bruce Messenger (Sharon), Wilbur Waters (Cleora), Thomas Sylvester (June), Keith Waters, Rosemary Hughes (Timothy), and Robert Sylvester Jr. She was predeceased by her sister Lee Hedlund and brother Charles Sylvester. She also had a very special bond with her cat "Peanut", who she loved very much.

In her leisure time, Patricia found joy in creating scrapbooks and making cards. These hobbies reflected her creativity and love for preserving memories and sharing heartfelt sentiments with her creations.

Burial will be private with family and close friends on Saturday March 28th, 2026 at 10:00am at St. Joseph's Cemetery, 522 Terryville Avenue, Bristol, CT.
