Paulette J. Goguen

September 24, 1957 – October 3, 2024

Paulette J. Goguen, 67 years young, passed away peacefully in Hartford, CT surrounded by family on the afternoon of October 3, 2024.  Paulette valiantly fought her battle against lung cancer with unwavering courage for two and half plus years.  Throughout her entire journey, she spread joy, made everyone smile, and showed remarkable strength. Her presence will be dearly missed.

Paulette was born in Marlborough, Massachusetts and raised in Hudson and Ashburnham, Massachusetts before settling down and becoming a long-time resident in the city of Gardner, Massachusetts. In August 2018, Paulette packed up her car and relocated to South Carolina to be closer to her son, Michael.  Paulette was a resident of Fort Mill, SC, a suburb of Charlotte, NC. for the last six years.

While in South Carolina, Paulette enjoyed reading stories by her favorite author, James Patterson and completing crossword puzzles.  She enjoyed hanging poolside and by the firepit with friends & family and being chased by her four-legged “PAW-son” Brady.  She also enjoyed trips to the beach, camping in the mountains and walks along the shoreline of Lake Wylie in Tega Cay, SC.

Paulette was preceded in death by her parents Charles & Maria Voyer, brother, Otto Voyer and beloved nephew, Steven Voyer.  Paulette’s memory will be cherished and kept alive by her life-partner Greg Aukstikalnis, former husband, Donald and their two children, Michael and Shaun; her sisters Jeannette and Michelle; brothers Louis, Larry and Robert; as well as many other family members and friends.

As we all know, Paulette loved being the life and center of the party; however, she has requested that there be no funeral or memorial services.  A Celebration of Life will be held to remember Paulette.  Details on these events will be shared with friends and family in the near future.
