Phyllis Flora Johnson

Phyllis Flora (Baxter) Johnson 86 of Taftville, CT passed away peacefully on July 30, 2026, surrounded by family.  She was a cherished mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed.  She was born May 1, 1940 in Guilford CT.  Phyllis leaves behind her five beloved children, Stephanie (Roland) Baron, Sheryll (Gil) Colemen, Timothy (Doreen) Blair, Stephen Blair and Jerry (Michelle) Blair, 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 5 great great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her brother Mark (Mindy) Baxter.  As well as several nephews and nieces and her dear cousin and lifelong friend Beverly Ann Ferraro.  She was predeceased in death by her parents Emil and Ivis Baxter, brother David Baxter, sister Kathleen Clement, brother Emil (Pete) Baxter, Jr. and grandson William Blair.

Above all, Phyllis found her greatest joy in the company of her family.  Whether gathered for special events, holidays or simply sharing stories.  She cherished every moment together.  Her warmth, laughter, and unwavering love created a home where everyone felt welcome and her presence will forever be a treasured part of her family’s heart.
