Ralf Leidner passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, 11/8/2020 at CT Hospice, of pancreatic cancer.
He spent his last day surrounded by his family. Ralf was born the eldest of three sons to Maria Harenburg Leidner and Edwin Leidner, in Hamburg, Germany on April 23, 1934. He spent his early years exploring the world in the German Merchant Marine and settled in New York in 1955. He met and married Rose Patricia Gormley in 1960. Together they raised three children, Susan, Linda and Ralf in Patchogue, NY. Ralf was pre-deceased by his wife and life partner, Pat, and his daughter, Linda.
He is survived by his children, Susan Jenkin, her husband, Tim Jenkin, their children, Tim and his wife, Susan, Laura Jenkin and Matt Jenkin, all of Connecticut. His daughter Linda's children, Thomas and his wife, Alba McKibbin and Jonathan McKibbin are living in Patchogue, NY. His son and namesake, Ralf and his wife, Ingrid Leidner are living in Colorado.
