Richard E. Dupuis Sr. 88 passed on January 6th with the Full Wolf Moon lighting his way. He grew up in Meriden the oldest of 7. He also lived in Clinton, Florida, North Carolina and resided in Deep River his last ten years. The in between places he made his home all over the country was traveling with Jean his longtime companion in her motor home with their dogs Mama and Gordo. Our Dad was a Mechanic and a skilled Jack of All Trades ( which my brother and myself learned many things). He used his vast knowledge to help many people and usually it was a barter system like the old ways.
He leaves behind our Mother, son Richard E Dupuis Jr. wife Carrie, daughter Sheryll Dupuis, grandchildren Craig wife Brianna, Heather husband William, Jerry and Porsche, great grandchildren Jimmy, Paisley, Rainier and Lyndy, a sister Elaine Andrews, brother in law Nelson Mendez Sr. , twenty five nieces and nephews plus greats, and many loving cousins and friends.
He was predeceased by brother John (Bo) wife’s Barbara and Margaret, brother Ernest ( Ernie), sisters Donna husband Forest,Joyce husband Donald and sister Phyliss, nieces Debra, Bethany and Dawn, nephews Ricky (Caveman), Jimmy, Randy, and Johnny as well as his longtime traveling companion Jean Graham Allison and his brother of the Heart Wes Blakely.
There will be a gathering of foods, memories and story telling ( all were Dad’s favorite pastimes) on April 1st 2023. Yes Spril Fools Day for Dad loved food, tall tales, good jokes and laughter. This will be held at The Sobieski John lll Club at 10 Woodland Rd Deep River 1-5 pm April 1st. Instead of flowers or donations help someone in need of fixing something you could do easily or even a kind gesture or a smile. Dad used to say Let Your Smile Be An Umbrella. If able please bring a food item, picture or a story to tell.
After Reading my dad‘s obituary again I realized I didn’t include my cousin his nephew Ricky (caveman) miss you dad aunties and uncle’s and my cousins I know you’re all together having a fun game of cards💜
