It is with love and sadness that we announce the passing of Richard J Mackowski age 80 July 16, 2026 at his residence in South Windsor, CT.
He was the husband of Joyce Clark and the father of Kevin Mackowski.
He was pre deceased by his parents and two siblings.
Rich experienced a gradual decline with his recent health challenges.
The couple enjoyed daily living on Amston Lake Lebanon, CT for many years. He referred to lake life as "Paradise" especially with his love for the outdoors.
His passion for cooking and baking made people feel welcomed and provided a gathering place to eat, drink, and enjoy lots of laughter.
He leaves behind cherished memories and life long friendships.
The family requests you take the time to fully enjoy one of his favorite beverages. A cup of coffee, glass of wine,or a coke with lemon. Even a Johnny Walker Blue Scotch on occasion.
A private cremation has taken place.
What a lovely remembrance of Rich, the entire vibe at the lake has changed since his move to South Windsor. Ron and I will never forget all the wonderful times spent on his back deck, watching the sun go down, having coffee and his famous cheese cake. We so enjoyed hearing his stories of his life , Some sad stories, but mostly fun times. He lived a full life, and enjoyed time spent with family and friends. Joyce and family, we will miss Rich, but so glad we had the opportunity to get to know and love him. We pray for you to be strong enough to go forward as he would want you to do.
