Rick, 67, passed peacefully on Friday September 17th, after an arduous, 14 year battle with cancer.
Rick was a loving brother, father, grandfather, partner and friend. Rick was also a warrior throughout his war with cancer. Rick’s positive spirit, courage and humor inspired the countless people who crossed paths with him. Rick was known for his smile, jokes, persistence and determination, as well as his charming personality. He will truly be missed by everyone he knows, but comfort can be found knowing he is no longer in pain.
Rick is now watching over his loved ones, children and grandchildren; Jessica Dupre of Willimantic, Patty Dupre and her husband Ryan Graham and their nephew, Rick’s grandson, Johnathan of Plainfield, Ricky Dupre and his girlfriend Kayla Costabile and their son, Rick’s grandson, Miles of Danielson, Tony Dupre and his girlfriend Avery Rathbun and their son, Rick’s grandson, Adam of Putnam, his granddaughter Jazlene Luckhardt of Manchester, his girlfriend Cheryl Armstrong of Ellington, his former spouse and children’s mother, Rosemarie Dupre of Danielson, his sisters; Bonnie Towle of Scotland and Robin Dupre of Hampton, as well as multiple aunts, uncles, cousins, a niece and several nephews, in addition to the many friends he made over his years. He was predeceased by both parents, Irvin and Virgie Dupre.
A Memorial Service will be held at The Living Proof church, 38 Pompey Hollow Road, Ashford CT 06278 on October 2nd, 2021 at 11 a.m. with refreshments to follow.

Rick is Resting in Paradise now, rid of his Earthly troubles. No more pain & suffering, lots of grief for those he left here. He will be remembered in our memories & hearts forever. He was always a "Punny Man" - making all of us laugh out loud each day!!
My sympathy to the family and friends. I have many wonderful memories of Rick from when I was a kid. Giant teddy bear. I will miss seeing pictures of his damn walks.
