Rita Bankowski rose to glory on Saturday, February 20, after her long fought battle with Alzheimers. Rita was the daughter of the late Louis and Carmen Bartolotta. She was 71.
Rita is survived by the love of her life James Bankowski. Together, Rita and Jimmy shared their dreams, their lives and a loving home for over 25 years.
Rita had many skills. She devoted almost 40 years working as a secretary for Helco.
Rita will be missed by many members of the Bankowski family, whom she became a special part of. Among them are her brother-in-law Stephen and his wife Lori and her sister-in-law Linda Saypalia. She was predeceased by her father and mother-in-law Stan and Joan Bankowski and brother-in-law Peter.
Jimmy would like to extend his special thanks to the Perruchio family for their years of love and kindness. Also special thanks to Stephen and Lori Bankowski, to her health aid Bozanna and Rita's companion V and the Middlesex Hospice Program. Jimmy would like to thank everyone who has been there to support him and Rita. A celebration to honor Rita's life will be held at a later date.
