On May 24th, 2023, Robert (Bob) Roy Malboeuf, age 73, of Oneco, CT., passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side after a battle with cancer. Robert was predeceased by his father, Robert Meddie Malboeuf and his mother Marie Claire (Antaya) Malboeuf of Moosup, and his younger brother William Malboeuf. Sadly, he leaves his devoted wife of 44 years Debra (Collelo) Malboeuf; two children, Robert M. Malboeuf of Jewett City and his daughter Victoria Stolzman, her husband Paul of Colchester. His five grandchildren; Aaron, Merissa, Riley, Hannah and Bobby Jr., and his sisters; Janet Hinds, Brenda Baron, Linda Smith and one brother, Karl Peterson.
He attended Plainfield high school and worked at Revere Textile of Sterling before retirement. He deeply loved his family, telling a good joke or story of his boating and fishing adventures to keep everyone around him laughing, the NASCAR races, hanging out in his truck, watching “Gold Rush” and insisting that “They are going to find the gold tonight!” on his favorite show “Oak Island.” He also spent much of his time raising Coonhounds, fishing with the grandchildren, and going to numerous bow shoots with his son, Bobby. Many weekends were spent traveling throughout New England showing his coonhounds and entering night hunts.
He was loved by all and will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at All Hallows Cemetery.
