Roderick L. “Rod“ Boudreau

Roderick L. “Rod“ Boudreau, 61, of East Hartford, passed away unexpectedly at home on Friday, February 9, 2024. Son of the late Emery J. Boudreau, Rod grew up in Sunset Hills and attended East Hartford High School where he made many longtime friendship bonds that continue to this day. In his early years of employment, he was known as DJ Roddy Rock. Rod loved music and concerts. No distance was too far to see his favorite bands. Later, he was a member of the Laborers Union and the Carpenters Union 326, Local 43 and at present day worked for Reno Storage & Repairs LLC in East Hartford. Rod loved watching his favorite sports teams.  He was a loyal fan of the Chicago Black Hawks, the Kansas City Chiefs and an avid Boston Red Sox fan.  He loved playing golf with his friends and the excitement of skiing the expert slopes of many mountains, especially Killington, VT. His laugh was contagious and resonates with all of us.  He is survived by his mother Alta Boudreau and his two children Jacqueline, 21, and Dylan,19, and his children’s mother Amy. He is also survived by his brothers Conrad (Christine), and Jules (Peggy), and his sisters Denise and Charlotte (Bob). Also, nephews Brian and Austin, and nieces, Amelia “Lia” and Nicole, and three great nieces, Paige, Alyssa and Ava.
