Ronald J. Brennan, 76, died peacefully after a battle with cancer on July 19, 2022, at a nursing home in Milford, CT. He was born September 24, 1945, in Connecticut. Ronald was raised by two loving foster parents, Anna and Martin Dorok.
Shortly after graduating high school in the late 1960s Ronald joined the Army and served in the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged in 1971. After returning home he met his future wife, Sandra, who he married and they planned to start a family in Bridgeport. In 1978 they adopted a son, Ronald R. Brennan. Ronald enjoyed woodworking, motorcycle riding and being outdoors. The latter of which led him to spend a few years as a Boy Scout Leader with local troop 32. Ronald had a love of old westerns, army movies, and science fiction shows, that he shared with and passed on to his son.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his foster brothers, Bill Dorok and Peter Arcotta, as well as by his wife, Sandra, who passed away in 1989. Ronald is survived by his foster brother Gene and his wife Marie, of Stratford, and their three daughters; son Ronald R. Brennan and his wife, Tara, of Milford; and three grandchildren, Isla Keeler, Owen Keeler, and Mackenzie Brennan.
He will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at St Michael’s Cemetery in Stratford, CT, beside his wife Sandra on August 18, 2022. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donating to the Lifeline for Vets; NVF.ORG
