Ronald Lucien “Ron” Gagne

Ronald Lucien “Ron” Gagne, 78, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2026, surrounded by those who loved him most, at Bristol Hospital, Bristol, CT, the community he called home and loved throughout his life.

Born on June 1, 1947, Ron was the beloved son of the late Mattie and Lucien Gagne. He dedicated most of his working life to the aerospace industry, where he was respected for his strong work ethic and steady dedication.

Ron found great joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved watching NASCAR, admired classic cars—especially the timeless style of the 1957 Chevy—and treasured time spent with his family. Known for his kindness and willingness to help anyone who needed it, Ron was a dependable presence and a quiet source of strength for those around him.

He was a devoted husband, married to Nancy for 48 years since July 30, 1977, and a loving father, grandfather, and brother. Ron is survived by his son, Nicholas, and daughter-in-law, Shannon; his cherished grandchildren, Caleb, Caitlyn, Callie, Cecelia, and Collin; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bob and Pat Colaninno; his sister, Bea Hynick; and his nieces and nephews: Bob, Mark, Jim, Angel, and Marge.

He was predeceased by his parents and his sister, Viv Dutkiewicz.

Ron’s family will honor his life through cremation and a private celebration of life. His kindness, generosity, and deep love for his family will be remembered always.
