Rose DeSalvo, 95, of Stratford, CT passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2020 after a steady decline following a fall.
Born on January 6, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Maria Mauceri-Abruzzo and Francesco Abruzzo of Brooklyn, NY. Rose previously lived in Queens, NY and Floral Park, Long Island. She was a seamstress by trade and a fabulous baker.
She is survived by her daughters, Marie R. DeSalvo-Tesoriere and Theresa M. DeSalvo-Brancato; son-in-law Vito J. Brancato, D.D.S.; grandchildren Jennifer Wolff, Colin Smith, Deborah R. Brancato, Clayton J.Allison, Matthew J. Brancato, Alison J. Oakland-Brancato, Jacqueline M. Brancato-Kotos, Thomas A. Kotos, Jr.; great grandchildren Amelia R. Allison, Courtney M. Brancato, Lila R. Kotos, Ruby M. Kotos, Luke J. Brancato, Logan Brancato; several nieces, nephews and other family members.
A Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, February 11, at the State of Connecticut Veterans’ Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown, CT. An informal gathering after the service will take place at Oronoque Village, 384B Sequoia Lane, Stratford, CT 06614.
